Join Kate from Wicked Sweets at the Roscoe Township Community Center for some spring floral cupcake fun! In this hands-on decorating class, you will learn how to create 6 different floral designs out of buttercream frosting on top of 6 vanilla cupcakes. All materials and aprons provided, just bring yourself and your willingness to try new things! Each participant will have their own station setup for decorating. Participants will learn how to color the buttercream, set up and fill piping bags, piping techniques for beautiful spring flower designs, adding leaf accents, and boxing cupcakes for travel. Leave with 6 boxed and decorated cupcakes, a set of 24 piping tips, and couplers used in class. Class is appropriate for ages 5+, however ages 12 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult. Adult does not need to purchase a separate ticket. Class is $35.00. Please purchase your ticket prior to the start of the event by selecting the class listed at the Roscoe Township Community Center for Fri, May 1st at 6:00 pm. |

Please join us for our "Peace in the Prairie" walk with Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Michelle Marella. We are excited to bring Michelle's expertise and passion for Forest Therapy to the Roscoe community and offer a new experience utilizing our very own prairie. During this walk participants will learn about forest bathing, a slow, mindful, and low-impact activity that reduces stress hormones and encourages wellness through nature. "Peace in the Prairie" will encourage participants to foster a relationship with nature, slow down, relax, and rejuvenate their mind, body and spirit. Connect with nature during this beautiful, immersive walk in the prairie trails here at Cross Park! Participants will meet Michelle at the Roscoe Township Community Center parking lot at 4562 Hononegah Rd., Roscoe, IL to begin the guided prairie walk at 9:00 am. Snacks, water, and chairs will be provided during this walk. The prairie walk will conclude at our Cross Park Pavilion where participants will share a ceremonial tea, reflect and connect with the group on their experience, and participate in the "creative curative" craft: rock wrapping. All materials for creative curative will be provided.
