Create your own ice cream cone painting on a pre drawn canvas at the Roscoe Township Community Center! This is a step by step project with helpful painting & mixing tips provided. All materials are provided, except for smocks. This class is best for ages 6 and up. All of Catherine's workshops are beginner friendly with options for more advanced techniques. We will be creating "The Very Hungry Catepillar" out of painted edger blocks for the community center and painted bees and ladybugs to take home to your very own garden! Then enjoy some fruit while we listen to our special guest reader and Deputy Chief of the Roscoe Police Department, Tom Farone, read "The Very Hungry Catepillar" to the kids around 11:00 am! This craft is FREE and suitable for ages 5 and up. Adult supervision is required and encouraged to join in on the fun!

July 27, 2026(2 events) – Join us for a nature-inspired craft and walk in our very own prairie here at Cross Park! We will begin by drawing our faces on pieces of cardboard, poking holes at the top, and foraging the prairie to build a new and fresh hairdo. If the prairie flowers continue to bloom, we can also create a "jar" of fresh flowers for mom! The possibilities are endless and a great way to get outside this summer. Craft will continue inside the community center if it rains. This craft is FREE and suitable for ages 5 and up. Adult supervision is required and encouraged to join in on the fun!
